This policy says what you, your team and your AI agents may not do with Fondoo. It is part of our Terms of Service. It protects your customers, other Fondoo users, and the email and social reputation everyone on Fondoo shares.
1. Agents follow the same rules
Every rule here applies to actions taken by agents, scripts and API keys you connect, exactly as if you took them yourself. "My agent did it" is not an exception. Telling an agent to get around a cap, approval, suppression list or safety check is a violation.
2. Email
Allowed: app and transactional emails to your users and customers, and newsletters or sequences to people who opted in.
Not allowed:
- Cold outreach of any kind: unsolicited sales, partnership, link-building or recruiting emails to people who haven't asked to hear from you.
- Purchased, rented, shared, scraped or harvested lists, or addresses collected by guessing or list-building tools.
- Adding people to a newsletter without double opt-in.
- Removing or hiding the unsubscribe link, or ignoring unsubscribes.
- Re-mailing addresses that bounced, complained or unsubscribed, or trying to work around our automatic suppression.
- Misleading sender names, subject lines or headers.
- Sending marketing email without the information the law requires (for example, under CAN-SPAM, a valid physical postal address).
If your bounce or complaint rate is high, we may pause sending while we look into it.
3. Phone and messaging
- No cold SMS and no text messages without the recipient's prior consent.
- No AI-generated or AI-voiced phone calls placed through Fondoo or through tools connected to it.
4. Social posting
- Follow each network's rules and each community's rules.
- No fake engagement: bots, fake accounts, sockpuppets, bought followers, likes or reviews, or coordinated posting that pretends to be independent people.
- Don't flood networks. Our posting caps exist for a reason; don't split work across accounts or workspaces to get around them.
- Reddit and Lemmy posts are posted only after a human approves each one. Don't automate or bypass that approval.
- Label AI-generated content where a network requires it.
5. Scams, fraud and deception
Not allowed:
- Phishing, credential harvesting, or pages that imitate login or payment screens of other services.
- Fake reviews, fake testimonials or fake endorsements, including AI-written ones presented as real customers.
- Fake urgency or scarcity (countdown timers that reset, false "only 2 left" claims).
- Subscriptions that are hard to cancel, or charging people without clear consent.
- Get-rich-quick schemes, pyramid schemes and deceptive multi-level marketing.
- Misleading health, financial, earnings or product claims.
- Selling products you don't intend to deliver.
6. Prohibited businesses
You may not use Fondoo to run, promote or take payments for the businesses below. This list is aligned with Stripe's Prohibited and Restricted Businesses list. Where Stripe's list is stricter, Stripe's list applies to anything sold through Fondoo checkout, and Stripe may set further conditions on your account.
- Illegal products or services, or anything illegal where you or your buyers are located.
- Adult content and sexual services.
- Gambling, betting, lotteries and games of chance for money.
- Weapons, firearms, ammunition, explosives and their parts.
- Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana or cannabis products.
- Prescription drugs, unapproved pharmaceuticals, and supplements or "nutraceuticals" with unproven health claims.
- Tobacco, e-cigarettes and vaping products.
- Counterfeit or unauthorized goods.
- Fake IDs, fake documents, and services to cheat exams or academic work.
- Debt relief, credit repair, payday loans and similar high-risk financial services.
- Cryptocurrency sales, token offerings, and money transmission or currency exchange.
- Sale of personal data, or "people search" and doxxing services.
- Content that promotes violence, terrorism, hatred or harassment of people based on protected characteristics.
- Anything involving the sexual exploitation of children. We report this to the authorities.
7. Impersonation
- Don't pretend to be another person, company, brand or government body, or imply an endorsement or affiliation you don't have.
- Don't create sites, emails or social accounts that copy another business's branding to confuse people.
- Don't use the Fondoo name or logo to suggest a self-hosted copy is the official Fondoo service.
8. Malware and security abuse
- No malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, cryptominers or malicious code, whether hosted on Fondoo or linked from it.
- Don't probe, scan or test the security of Fondoo or anyone else without written permission.
- Don't try to access other workspaces, data, or accounts that aren't yours.
- Don't attack or manipulate other users' agents (for example through prompt injection hidden in content you publish).
- Report security issues to legal@getfondoo.com instead of exploiting them.
9. Intellectual property
- Only publish content you own or have rights to use: text, images, video, music, code, fonts and trademarks.
- Don't use agents to copy other sites' content and pass it off as your own.
- Respect affiliate programs' and networks' disclosure rules.
- See the copyright complaints section of our Terms of Service to report infringement.
10. Automated and resource abuse
- Don't create multiple accounts or trials to dodge limits, caps or fees.
- Don't overload the Service, the API, or Fondoo Cloud (including denial-of-service attacks and running workloads unrelated to your business, like crypto mining).
- Don't scrape the Service, resell raw access to it, or use it to build a competing hosted service from our infrastructure. (The open-source code is available under its licenses for self-hosting.)
- Don't use the Service to send or relay traffic for others that hides its origin.
11. Privacy and sensitive data
- Have a lawful basis for the personal data you collect, and publish your own privacy notice.
- Don't store HIPAA-protected health information, full payment card numbers, or government ID numbers in Fondoo.
- Don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 (or 16 where local law sets that age).
- Don't use support tickets or contact data for purposes your customers wouldn't expect.
12. Enforcement
If we find or suspect a violation, we may, depending on how serious it is:
- warn you and ask you to fix it;
- remove or unpublish content;
- pause email sending, social posting, checkout or agent access;
- suspend a site or your account;
- close your account;
- tell Stripe or another affected provider, and report illegal activity to the authorities.
Where reasonable, we'll tell you what happened and give you a chance to fix it first. For serious harm (such as phishing, malware, child safety or active spam), we may act immediately. Fees already paid aren't refunded when an account is suspended or closed for violations.
13. Reporting and appeals
- Report abuse on a Fondoo site or account by emailing legal@getfondoo.com with the URL and what you saw.
- Appeal an enforcement action by replying to our notice or emailing legal@getfondoo.com. We'll review it and tell you the outcome.
We may update this policy as new kinds of abuse appear. Material changes will be announced in advance as described in our Terms.
